Since August 2019, Marketyze has worked with Worldtech Electronics to further grow its online sales. Worldtech Electronics is an electronics brand selling TVs, car accessories, security cameras and more on the two major e-commerce platforms in Thailand, Lazada and Shopee.

Why did Worldtech need assistance from an agency?
Worldtech Electronics manages most parts of their online shops listed on Lazada and Shopee with an in-house team from their office at Bhiraj Tower in Bangkok, only a few floors away from the Lazada Thailand headquarters. Several teams manage their logistics, operations, customer service as well as the storefront and the product listings, improving their merchandising over time.
However, they realized they lacked the expertise to properly run their digital marketing efforts, and reached out to the Lazada Marketing Solutions team for a trusted partner or agency, which then referred to Marketyze. It was the right fit where our skills perfectly fill the in-house gap.
Mega campaign season
August starts the preparation for most brands on the mega shopping campaigns that have gained in popularity in the Southeast Asia region over the last few years. First up was Shopee’s “9.9 Super Shopping Day” on the 9th of September, followed closely by Lazada’s and Shopee’s newly introduced 10.10 campaign. The year ended with the two biggest campaigns, 11.11 or “Singles Day”, pioneered by Lazada, and 12.12 on the 12th of December.
Marketyze has worked with Worldtech on all four mega campaigns, which involved budget planning, close collaboration on creatives, testing several channels and ad-types, and doing campaign reviews to gather learnings for each following campaign. Other than preparing creatives, Worldtech was very hands-off while we managed end-to-end the external online traffic going to the Lazada and Shopee shops.
In between the mega campaigns, there was also a constant stream of online advertising scheduled, usually referred to as “always-on” digital advertisement; Effectively ad campaigns that are never paused. The budgets are lower and the focus is on ongoing sales and products, with the objective of having brand awareness, traffic and sales throughout the year. A good time for further testing and preparing for the campaign season.
Working with Worldtech going forward
In 2019, we achieved a Return-on-Ad-Spend (ROAS) of 25x of our marketing spend for Lazada and Shopee platforms for our always-on ads, and an ROAS of 30x during mega campaigns at the end of 2019. Marketyze will continue the close collaboration with Worldtech Electronics in 2020 to achieve its ambitious targets!
